    Whoah, a totally different vocal delivery from you. Reminded me a bit of Chris Isaak. I think you could have done without the clappy drum-rhythm on the right, which i think made this a *little* too cheery. Liked the woodblock/cowbell as an alternative. Is it just me, or is the vocal *way* off to one side? Anywho, i really love this — it’s not at idiosyncratic, but still very recognizable.

    It’s just you. The vocal sounds very Roy Orbison to me. And good. Hank songs are hard to do, ’cause you almost have to do them straight (like you did here) or you have to really mess with them a lot to add new sections and stuff. I think it’s ’cause there are no choruses.
