Started in 2003. Intended to be done in 2003. Instead, I finally tore myself away from the last mix in October 2004. I had to post it on the web just to keep myself from messing with it into infinity. Delays continued, and I finally received my box of CDs for selling in late January 2005, about a week after the inauguration of the original Divider.
It’s a semi-political album… but hopefully more to me than to anybody else. Personally political. I wouldn’t really want it to be specific about that stuff lest the life get sucked out of the music once the national tide turns.

I’ve been obsessed with this since getting the CD in the mail the other day. This is the best homemade album I’ve heard.
I don’t know why, but when I listened to earlier versions of Divider “Don’t Be Afraid” never really caught me. Now I can’t stop listening to it. I love it when you can continually discover new amazing songs on an album even after you’ve listened to it over and over again. This album really is a tremendious acheivement for you, Jeff!

Got linked over this way from Frontalot’s site, and I concur wholeheartedly with Front’s assessment. This is excellent work, and when I finally am somehow able to get a credit card I am so very buying this album at least, if not more of your stuff. You rock man.
I have been listening to the Crankfarm Podcast with your interview over and over. You really have some great stuff. Thanks for elaborating on your writing style, synths, etc. This website is great too, pretty inspirational as I’m trying to record some of my own stuff. So keep it up cause people are digging it.
